Tent Rental Fee: Arts by the River has a limited supply of 10’ x 10’ white canopy tents available for a $40 rental fee. They will be provided by request in the order of applications received and artists will be notified with their jury results. If supplies run out, those who do not receive tents will receive a fee refund. Tents must be requested with the application; they will not be available the day of the event.
Images: All artists must include four (4) photos or digital images (no slides) representative of the work to be exhibited. It is preferred that one image should be of their display booth completely set-up. (Each photo/image must be labeled with the artist’s name and medium and must be representative of the work that will be displayed). All photos/images will be retained by Arts by the River.
For digital images: submit CD

Notification: All artists must include a self addressed stamped envelope (legal size #10, first class postage) for jury results.
Booth fee: $100 for 10' x 10' space. Any submitted booth fees will be returned if your application is not accepted.
Jury Process
During the jury process:
- Artist applicants remain anonymous.
- Scoring is based on originality and creativity, design, technique, craftsmanship, and production methodology.
- All scores are combined and averaged.
Jurors:
A diversity of backgrounds and skills are on the jury, including artists, educators, and area arts leaders. Panelists are rotated so that new and experienced jurors serve together. To apply to be part of the jury, send resume and cover letter of intent to director@twinriversarts.org.
Rules For Participation
Before applying please make sure your work meets the following criteria. By applying you agree to abide by the rules, policies and decisions of Arts by the River. Arts by the River is a selective fine art fair. Participating artists' booths will be visited periodically throughout the fair to ensure compliance with the rules. Artists will be required to remove all work that is not in compliance. Persistent and/or major violation of the rules may result in expulsion from the fair and ineligibility for future Arts by the River fairs.
All work must be original, handcrafted work. One of a kind work is preferred and encouraged.
If you produce work in editions, you must disclose edition numbers to the festival audience and include in your work descriptions.
Artists may only show work in categories approved by the Jury. All work exhibited must be of the quality and type of that shown in the images juried.
Artists must prominently display an Artist Statement, with the artist’s picture, describing how and by whom the work is made and the materials used to make the work.
Artists must be present with their work for the two days of the festival. If the work is collaborative, each collaborator must be present. Artists may never leave their booth untended – booth sitters may be available upon request.
All work must be for sale.
Space and Display Information
Display spaces accommodate a standard 10’ x 10’ tent. Additional spaces may be purchased for a booth fee of $100. Artists must provide their own display and props. No booth may be constructed of materials that may be dangerous to the public. Spaces may not be shared unless the artwork is collaborative and artists are individually juried. Artists’ booths must be staffed at all times and sales must only be conducted from the artist’s assigned space. Artists may not change their space location without approval. We will try to accommodate, but cannot guarantee any special request. Artists will receive further instructions and details with our letter of acceptance.
Artist Showcase
Southern Minnesota area artists, poets, and musicians can participate on a smaller scale than main exhibitors. Participants are juried; sites are on tables in a tented area.
